Why being selfish will help you achieve CEO status…

Do you ever stop to think? I know some people who’s entire life is absorbed with sports, music, social media, their cell phone, or some other mindless activity.

I had a conversation with someone the other day who I asked, “do you not ever think.” They replied, “no not really, maybe in the shower.” — the same person who also told me they want to get rid of their phone all together or leave it behind when they go on trips. Yet, they walk around day in and day out consumed by what is going on with their phone.

Does social media desensitize your judgement?

Recently, I decided to sell my house and didn’t really think too much about where I was going to live. I try to take things one step at a time.

But, every person I know has asked me where are you going to live? Why are you not going to move in with your boyfriend? When are you getting married?

I mean don’t you think I will tell you when I decide to do that? Don’t you think I have thought about the fact I am going to need to find a new home? Don’t you think I want to know when I’m getting married too?!?

Why is it such a big deal I decide not to share so many personal details (non — life changing details) about my day to day life? Continue reading Does social media desensitize your judgement?

NO More REGRETS: The ONE SIZE Fits ALL Question to ask yourself next time you make a decision

Life has and will bring you to some interesting places with each decision you make. Lately, I have had the pleasure of being stuck around some “older wiser” individuals. All of the conversations end about the same — They made a lot of mistakes in life and want to give me a bunch of advice they think I don’t know.

I have to keep reminding myself they probably didn’t have “Google” growing up. Continue reading NO More REGRETS: The ONE SIZE Fits ALL Question to ask yourself next time you make a decision

Start FLAUNTING your FREEDOM to impact others in a “HUGE” way

Do you allow others to tell you the truth or train them to be better liars?

Fact: If you want better relationships your reactions must change.

Everyone reacts differently in a given situation because of what’s inside their heart. Different people have different reactions because of the different baggage, relationships, or backgrounds that they have experienced.

Maybe you don’t always react the right way or do the right thing. But, if you feel uneasy then it’s the perfect opportunity to change. Continue reading Start FLAUNTING your FREEDOM to impact others in a “HUGE” way

I Quit My SIX Figure Gig to become an Entrepreneur because Corporate America F*@#&% Me Over

So, most people know me as the smart, over achiever, who was striving to climb the corporate ladder (and I was doing a great job of it).

I didn’t have a shitty childhood or horrible up bringing. But, my parents divorced when I was very young, which took a toll on my family.

I never realized how much of an impact it had on me until now.

All those years I grew up just trying to get my Dad’s approval. I went to school and worked jobs I never wanted to work just because I thought it would make him happy. I tried to pursue a life — my whole life — to please my Dad.

I can’t really say what led up to the start of my pursuit for “something bigger” something “more,” but I think it was a combination of things.

I assume everyone is raised to know right from wrong but some of the largest financial institutions in America didn’t seem to have the same values.

Workouts for wisdom: Knowledge over Power

I use to know this guy who went to the gym twice a day for a few hours at a time. I wish I had that kind of motivation — or do I? It seems everyone is focused on the “outward” appearance.

Speaking from my own experience when I post a quote online with just text versus with a picture, the picture gets WAY more attention. (Free #Businessadvice you’re welcome!)

But, hasn’t anyone figured out that the CEOs, Celebrities, all the people they want to be like didn’t get where they are over night? At least, for some of the people I look up to like Sara Blakely and Lori Greiner.

They worked their butt off to learn, develop skills, and figure out how to apply them — most all without the help of the Internet! Can you imagine not being able to just “Google” the answer? Continue reading Workouts for wisdom: Knowledge over Power

Motivation: Men VS Women

I thought about what you said to me the other night, “I think you have given out enough advice lately.” I had no response because I knew he was right. I sat quietly and finished dinner as if the comment didn’t phase me, but secretly I was crying inside.

I told myself, “You screwed up again.” “I thought you were going to stop telling him what to do and giving him so much advice.”

Even a guy friend of mine told me a loooooong time ago, “the way you win him over is to just make him think everything is his idea like he gave it to you already.” I have to say this actually works to some extent.

But, I hate this feeling inside and wanted Continue reading Motivation: Men VS Women
