How to hire people for your business // How to hire employees? In this video, I’m teaching you how to hire the right staff for your small business. Recruitment can be a daunting task when you are going through the hiring process. Every entrepreneur struggles with hiring employees when they are starting out. These are my tips and tricks for choosing the right employees to help you grow your business.

Where is your business if you take something off your plate today what would it be? I wanna you to put that in the comments because it’s definitely important to talk about these things and growing in your business. You have to learn what works for you and what doesn’t and you’re never going to know if you don’t try. So try something and if it doesn’t work you try the next idea but be prepared to lose money. And remember that losing money is not a bad thing it’s just a stepping stone. And right now it’s a lot easier to lose say five bucks 10 bucks 20 bucks working on a project versus once you get to be a big corporation remember that the losses are a lot more.

I’ve had I mean let’s be real. Last year maybe the year before that I can tell you that one of my businesses lost like probably a hundred grand just because of many different things some of it had to do with who are outsourcing to and that they screwed up.

And you know some of it they even damaged some of the product that we were shipping. So some of it may not all be service related. Some of it may be that you’re hiring an outside company to help you like one of my products. We co-pack. So we have to send it to a co-packer. And part of the reason for us actually outsourcing to a copacker is because when we were doing it by hand there’s no consistency when it’s just one person. But if you go to like a CoPacker a lot of times they have machines and a system like a conveyor belt for exactly how everything comes out. We’re going to co-packers. We’ve had people in the office that say they’re doing stuff and I will tell you have to check up on them. So we’ve had people that said they were posting on social media and then I went looked on social media and they were posting but they were posting what they were posting on their own profile and it looked real good but my profile wasn’t looking so good.

So it was easy for me to figure that out. And what’s funny is when I pointed that out to an employee the first thing that happened is they blocked me from their social profile so I couldn’t see it any more. So that just let me know that they didn’t need to be part of the company any longer. A lot of mother started calling the company so you got to pick and choose who you hire because you want people that have passion and drive and that you can teach and want to be a part of your company. Don’t look for necessarily skills.

Now if you’re hiring somebody to edit videos obviously you want them to have skills but they don’t have to be the best of the best.

When people start working with you it doesn’t matter whether you’re paying them five hundred dollars or five dollars. They have to learn you and learn the business. Any new job that you start you go in and you kind of know what to do on the first day and second day in the first week they give you a break and then the second week they kind of expect you to pick up the pace. And by the first month They’re like man you’ve been doing this you should really understand this in six months. It’s like this should have been here for a minute. You really should be getting it by now don’t have time to keep going back and forth with her.
